What the
studio does

Flying Turtle Studio is an independent film and video production studio in Guwahati, Assam. It offers 14 services across five areas: direction and story, camera and drone, post-production, digital content, and films for occasions. It serves clients across Assam, Northeast India and worldwide.

Kaushik Sharma personally handles most of the process end to end, rather than outsourcing the vision to a large crew.

Direction & Story

The film is decided before the camera is switched on: the idea, the script, and the places it will be shot.

Camera & Drone

Ground and air, stills and motion, shot by the same person who writes and cuts the film.

Post-Production

Edit, grade, sound and voice are all finished in-house, on the same desk the film was written at.

Digital Content

Work made for the way people actually watch: vertical, scrollable, and built for a feed.

Films for Occasions

Commissioned work, brands and weddings, approached with the same documentary instinct as the films.

Straight answers

What does Flying Turtle Studio do?

Flying Turtle Studio is an independent film and video production studio based in Guwahati, Assam, founded by Kaushik Sharma in April 2022. It works across documentary, essay films, branded and corporate content, drone cinematography, and short narrative work.

What services are included end-to-end?

Every project runs from idea to final cut under one clear vision. Scriptwriting, location scouting, cinematography, drone work, editing, colour grading, sound design and voice-over are all handled in-house. Nothing is handed off halfway, so the story stays consistent from the first script read to the final grade.

Where is the studio based and what regions does it serve?

The studio is based in Guwahati, Assam, India. It serves clients worldwide. Remote and international projects are welcome, alongside work across Assam and Northeast India.

Who is behind Flying Turtle Studio?

Flying Turtle Studio was founded by Kaushik Sharma, a Guwahati-based filmmaker who trained at Whistling Woods International in Mumbai and studied Media Arts at Wintec in New Zealand. He writes, shoots, directs and edits most of the studio’s work himself, and his debut short, The Scroll That Stole Time, won Best Essay Film at FICIMAD 2026 in Madrid.

Does the studio do drone videography, wedding films and corporate videos?

Yes. Aerial work is flown on a DJI Mini 4 Pro, ad films and corporate films are covered from concept through scripting, shooting and edit, and wedding films are shot and edited with a documentary eye, capturing real moments rather than staged ones.

The clearest way to judge the work is to watch it.
